So, I was walking one of my co-workers out of the building tonight...and while we're walking out, said co-worker asked me "Are you eating dinner tonight?" Like, I have a habit of skipping a meal... Ummmmmmm - no, I don't have the habit of skippping meals, despite what my size might infer! Don't hate me, but I'm just lucky to have been born "naturally" thin and can pretty much eat whatever I want and not gain weight (or if I do it's very slowly).
Yes, my feathers are a little ruffled by that question! #1 - is it anyone's business if I skip a meal or not? and #2 - who really cares?! For the record, my dinner was a nice salad with shredded parmesean cheese topped with light Italian dressing...in case you were wondering. :)
FWIW, this could just have been a conversation starter that came out completely wrong, or else I am being monitored by the self-appointed diet police...and need to make it a point to always be eating when said co-worker walks by my office! Sheesh - like I don't have enough to worry about at work...

huh - maybe they were trying to find out if you were free? I wonder what they would have done if you said, 'naw, I only eat on alternate Tuesdays.' Was it a single or lonely co-worker?
Nope, actually a happily married co-worker... Personally, I think it was a conversation starter gone completely awry! (since this is someone I don't talk too very much)
Regardless, the question is NOT appropriate...and should have been worded "What are you having for dinner tonight?" Almost like this person needed ideas, not questioning my eating habits!
