Of delicious, organic applesauce (all sealed up tight)! :) I tried my hand at canning over the 3-day weekend. I figured I might as well, since I intended to make applesauce anyway. I buy my organic apples at Sam's Club and usually use only half of the bag before the remainder goes bad. So, thinking to myself...I wonder what would happen if I decided to make the whole bag and can it? I had the pint jars already for other projects and figured, why not.
It took me only 2 hours from start to finish...but I might as well have done 10-12 pints...had I bought enough apples I would have! :) Now I have had a small taste of success, I might just have to do this more often and in larger quantities. Yay to the Internets for having instructions on the canning part. I had the applesauce part down pat many years ago.
Applesauce ingredients: organic apples, cinnamon and water. Can't beat that! And I love my applesauce smoooooooooooooooth, so it goes in the blender for pulverizing. The store-bought stuff is too chunky for my delicate palate. :) You think I'm kidding? Just ask my MoM.
p.s. Who knew that there was some domesticity stuffed in the depths somewhere? Definitely not me! My old YW leaders would be so proud... :)

Applesauce is one of my top favorite foods. I am partial to chunky, but really anything will do. YUM.
