Weekly Update - 10/7/07

Not much exciting stuff going on the last couple of weeks. Still studying up a storm! I finished going through all the material this week and now it is time for lots of review. There's several topics that I still don't feel comfortable with and need to focus on a few of the more intense topics too. Plus, I need to review all the problems I did wrong and make sure that I know what I did wrong, so I don't do it on the actual exam. The fun really never ends...

I finally sent in my paperwork so I can take the FAR section of the CPA exam. It looks like I'll take it sometime mid-November or after Thanksgiving. Not sure how prepared I will feel...I probably just need to pick a date and stick with it!

The boundary changes occurred today and we're still in the same ward, but a huge part of our existing ward is gone and we added some new areas that were not previously in our boundaries. Also, we will be going to a new building starting next Sunday - it is a longer drive, but time wise probably the same. :) This probably means that I get to stay with my AD girls, at least what's left of them! I know for sure that at least 4 are gone, probably more. Maybe now we can have only one group instead of two, or at least two smaller groups...15 girls is a lot to plan for!

The apron AD activity was a big hit! The girls really enjoyed making the aprons and felt pretty accomplished at the end of our time that they made something themselves (with minimal help). I think some of them had never used a sewing machine before, I know niece E hadn't. They didn't seem to be intimidated at all by the machines like I was when I first started sewing.

Our AD this week will be just a "farewell" party for both groups so they can say goodbye to those that are not in our ward anymore (effective 10/14). We're having treats and will just let them talk, which is what they want to do when they're all together anyway. What can I say, they're girls!! :)
