I'm not *that* old! Am I?!

Um, yeah, I got this in the mail last week. Talk about a rude awakening! Intellectually, I know I have been out of high school for 20 years and college 15, but still. Especially, since I still feel only 20, how can I be out of high school for 20? It just doesn't compute! It must be some kind of a time warp or something - that's the ticket! :)
My question is, why have a 20-year reunion when JdlO hasn't bothered to put together a 5 or 10? I admit, it would be interesting to see what the people I went to HS with are doing these days, but there's a whole lot of them I don't particularly want to catch up with or see. Besides, I only keep in touch with one person from HS and she wasn't even in my graduating class! I would consider attending, but 1-it's the weekend of my b-day and 2-I haven't done anything impressive in the last 20 years and 3-I should have my exam results by then and will (hopefully) be celebrating my CPA! And that is something I want to be celebrating with people I know and not a bunch of random strangers I went to HS with.

Yeah, I keep getting post cards from my high school trying to find me so they can mail me an invite. I had my ten year reunion about 3 years ago. I was planning on going, but in the end I couldn't do it. While I could go there and tell cool stories about my education, my travels, my great job, my volunteer work, and other things, I felt, being in Utah, that if I didn't have that guy on my arm and bring a wallet full of pictures of my non-existent children then I would just feel like *$#!@ all night. So, that's where I am at.

However, you have done remarkable things in the past 20 years because YOU are remarkable in and of yourself....that's not even something you have to prove to anyone.

And let's always agree to be 20 forever, just with a little more wisdom!!

No, you're not that old, the organizers just aren't organized. ;) I'm yet to be invited to a single reunion and think by the time the decided to remember I graduated from high school age won't matter anymore. :)
