Six weeks and counting down...I'm getting very nervous about this part. I know I am always nervous about every part, but this one terrifies me even more than AUD did. I'm pretty confident I can knock out the tax topics, but the business law is just not getting into my brain and sticking there. I know that a CPA should have at least a modicum of understanding of business law topics, but puh-leese I think there's more business law material in my study manual than there needs to be. :( I thought that the AUD section was very nit-picky, but that was until I encountered this! I think what I really need to do is just buckle down and memorize all the basics, but I really hate to memorize. I'm pretty much game to anything at this point, since I want this to be the last time I have to take any of these tests. (crossing fingers: please let this be the last time...)
The good news is that after I take this section, it is Labor Day weekend! I need to think of something really fun to do that is nothing like studying and is, more importantly, out of the house. I would love to make a weekend trip to South Padre, but I'm sure there will be scads of others heading that way...and I'm not too fond of the drive either. I guess I'll have to keep thinking.
I was talking with someone at work today and I got to thinking I've been studying for the better part of a year! A year?! That seems like such a waste of time/energy right about now, but I know the pay off will be worth it. Plus, with any luck I won't have to do it again - ever! It seems weird thinking about it though, since it has been literally hundreds of hours spent in front of a computer or hunched over a study manual. Hundreds of hours?! Oy, that makes my back hurt thinking about it.
I just had a brilliant idea! Labor Day weekend should be a spa weekend!!! :D

Girlfriend, you so DESERVE the spa! Seriously! Studying for a whole year is worth it if it's what you want. It's a small part of your life, even thought it seems big right now. Your dedication and intelligence simply amazes me! Seriously!
Too bad you can't come to SLC for the weekend to celebrate, I'd spa it up with you!!
Good luck friend.
I myself AM watching old reruns of Sex and the City. Maybe my brain needs something to study.
