Weekly Update - Guess What?!

I guess I have gotten a little out of the habit of posting a Weekly Update. There really hasn't been a whole lot going on, since studying takes a lot of time and isn't at all exciting! The exciting part is taking and passing the exams and not the preparations, obviously. If that were the case, there would be a lot more candidates studying for and passing the exams...at least that is my theory.

Anyway, other than getting my *official* scores on Friday, not much else in that realm is going on. But, speaking of *official* scores...seriously, Friday?! I kept thinking I should get the paperwork in the mail by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. When that didn't happen, I kept wondering if my eyes deceived me. I kept checking and checking and checking on the Internet and each time a confirmation of my score was staring me in the face. So, then I keep wondering, where are my scores? Friday, they arrived - Friday are you kidding me?? The Internet said that the scores were official on the previous Friday and I got the word on Monday! Come to find out the scores weren't mailed until Wednesday. Sheesh, I'm glad I can get my scores online and not have to wait for the mail. How did you deal with the waiting before the Internet?

At church today, I was called aside from the bishopric counselor over the Primary. I was all ready to tell them "NO!" I will not permit myself to be released from Activity Day, since I'm not ready to be released, or "No!" I will not give a talk/prayer in sacrament. But (!!) good news, they are just changing things up in Activity Day and I'm being promoted from an "assistant" to a "leader". Long story short, I will be the Activity Day Leader for the 8-9 year olds with TexSis as my assistant. Hooray, there is no weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth. There is no need to worry about having a Sunday calling. All is well in Zion! :)

It will be interesting to work with the 8-9 year olds, since for the last 6 months or so we have all been combined into one (rather large) group. I am looking forward to having a smaller group, and, more importantly, working with a different age group. When I was originally called to AD, I was the assistant for the 10-11 year olds. This new group will give me some change without having to abandon the Activity Day program that I love. :) AND the even better part, is the possibility of recycling some of the more fun activities with girls that haven't done them yet! Sometimes, my planning/good idea mode goes a little dormant and having some archived activities might just come in handy sometime. One in particular comes to mind...bandanna aprons (little reminder what they are below)...and I still have leftover materials from the first time around. Recycled activity, and being able to use up supplies is even better, since I wasn't sure what to do with the leftovers in the first place!

I wish my daughter could go to your Activity Days, but she's already too old for the new group. I technically don't have a Sunday calling either. But lately it feels like a daily one. Fortunately, I like it-but it is a little daunting.

CONGRATS on the test scores!! I cheered and applauded when you emailed them to me, but I'm guessing that sound doesn't carry that far south.

I love Activity Days! That second apron is so soft and calm and beautiful!
