The fun really never ends... As I am impatiently waiting for my scores, I have started studying AUD. I thought this topic would freak me out more, but there is information somewhere in my archives. I actually vaguely remember stuff from my auditing class...many years ago... :) That makes me feel better! Plus, having to go through an annual audit and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley 2002 helps a little too. Not to mention, I have at least heard of the 1933 and 1944 Acts from my workplace. Maybe the stars are aligning for me to pass this one with flying colors...I can only hope!
I did take a (much needed) break last week for regrouping and attempting to get motivated to start the studying again. I really didn't know what to do with myself! I had all this extra time to do whatever I wanted, the bad part is all I wanted to do is sleep. Oh, and obsess a little about not passing the BEC section of the exam...but that's neither here nor there.
Anyway, enough of the blah blah blah CPA exam blah blah blah and whine whine whine... I'm sure you all are just dying to get a Dad update. Well, maybe the three people who read this do. :) Dad got out of the hospital for the second time the week I was off work and studying (sometime the last week of February, maybe on Wednesday?). He was tapered off Keppra and when I talked to him last he seemed much more "normal" than he had since the first hospitalization. YAY! This week when I talked to Mom, she said he's resuming some of his bishoply duties and went to church and some other meetings. This makes me really happy, since I'm sure it makes him happy. I'm sure anything "normal" helps in the healing process. Dad still needs to see a Psychiatrist, since they're assuming he's still depressed. Hel-lo, going from full independence to dependent on others? Probably not too good for one's emotional health. DUH! At least they're being thorough and are still trying to get everything "fixed," even though we still don't know what caused the problems in the first place.
